Into the Brain is a sound and light installation created in collaboration with the Korean artist Hyewon Kim. The work is an artistic exploration of the human brain and an attempt to visualize and sonify its complex internal processes.

The sculptural elements, designed by Hyewon Kim, are composed of several thousand drinking straws arranged into intricate organic structures. Embedded LED lights are positioned behind these forms and interact dynamically with the sound composition, creating an immersive audiovisual environment.

The sound composition is based on recordings of boiling corn porridge. This unusual sonic material serves as a metaphor for a mental state in which numerous thoughts occur simultaneously, generating a sense of cognitive overload and psychological pressure. Through the interplay of sound, light, and sculpture, Into the Brain translates invisible neural activity into a tangible sensory experience.
