Take a seat, take a blanket and wait for Godot

Take a Seat, Take a Blanket and Wait for Godot is an EP that explores states of anticipation, inertia, and suspended action. Borrowing its title from Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, the work approaches waiting not as a temporary condition but as a defining feature of contemporary life.

The title proposes a strangely hospitable scenario: make yourself comfortable, settle in, and prepare for an event that may never happen. Inspired by the absurdity of Beckett's Waiting for Godot, the EP questions how much of our lives is spent in anticipation and how often waiting itself becomes a way of avoiding action.

The compositions move between tension and stillness, repetition and transformation, creating sonic environments in which expectation becomes both a source of anxiety and a form of absurd theater. Through electronic textures, fragmented structures, and evolving soundscapes, the EP examines the psychological space between hope and resignation.

Rather than offering resolution, Take a Seat, Take a Blanket and Wait for Godot invites listeners to inhabit the act of waiting itself, revealing its contradictions, humor, and quiet tragedy.
