Ælectric sheeps is a collaborative music project between two artists - me and Oliver Hahn, cultural scientist, historian and musician - formed, recorded and produced in Indonesia, while researching about new sonic cultures. The name borrows from Philip K.Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, deliberately miswritten into its own plural: sheeps - gramatically wrong, intentionally so, like a machine learning language from the outside in.
The sound lives somewhere between dream wave and quiet dystopia: hazy, synthetic, weightless, with 808s that feels worn-in rather than loud - sparse low-end pulse beneath textures that drift. Futuristic but not cold. Electronic but not clean. Music that asks the same question the book does: what does it mean to feel something, and how do you know if you do?
